Due to a hip injury from running without stretching in cold weather, I started Bikram yoga in San Diego, California of January, 2005. I immediately fell in love after my first class. Although the classes were expensive for me at the time, I managed to practice at least 5 days a week. I noticed how much simpler it made my life during that time, while I was finishing up my bachelor's degree of Psychology.

After graduating from San Diego State, I decided that I did not want to work in an office, or any 9-5 office job-type-setting. Instead, I decided to focus my thoughts and time on Bikram yoga. In the fall of 2006 I attended teacher training after 6 months of my own practice, which was close to home in Los Angeles, California.

After the teacher training ended, I decided to move, teach and learn on the island of Maui. I then moved back to San Diego, California to teach at the La Jolla studio for about 6 months.

In August of 2007, I left southern California to do something completely different on the big island of Hawaii, where I lived and worked on a variety of organic farms. The big island having no Bikram studios, forced me to concentrate on my practice, gaining new insight about myself, my practice and creating my own style of teaching.

I'm grateful and excited to teach here in New Orleans and hope to grow stronger physically, mentally and spiritually through teachers, the students and the entire yoga community. Most importantly, I hope to introduce and inspire new students and new faces to the amazing mind and body benefits of Bikram yoga.
